America 2 Night (Celebrity Night)

Premise: "Fernwood 2 Night" was a hilarious (IMO) talk show parody that was a "Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman" spinoff. It was set in Fernwood, Ohio & featured self impressed Barth Gimble (Martin Mull) as the host with his dense sidekick, Jerry Hubbard (Fred Willard). Such acts were featured as the local girls synchronized swim team who did their routine on the floor, since there was no pool in the studio. During season 2, the Fernwood 2 Night team moved to L.A. to be closer to the stars. The name was then changed to "America 2 Night. "
